Judy Blume fans, the wait is finally over. The author's first adult novel since 1998's Summer Sisters will be released in 2015.
The book doesn't have a title yet, but it's "pure Judy Blume, writing about family and about friendships, about love, about betrayal," her editor, Carole Baron, tells The New York Times. "It's quintessential Judy."
Blume has long been a beloved author of books for children, young adults, and adults, with notable titles including Forever, Deenie, Wifey, and Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. Baron said she had talked about a new book with Blume for close to four years, and now Blume is ready to spend the summer revising the novel. "I'm both thrilled and terrified, my usual feelings at this point," she said in a statement released by her publisher.
