FIFA President: Future World Cups will be 'interplanetary competitions'

The World Cup in Brazil hasn't even kicked off yet, but that hasn't stopped FIFA President Sepp Blatter from thinking of out-of-this-world ideas for future games. Yesterday, the embattled figurehead told the FIFA Congress that he predicts that someday, a World Cup competition will be held on another planet.

"We shall wonder if one day our game is played on another planet," he said, perhaps jokingly. "Why not? Then we will have not only a World Cup, we will have interplanetary competitions. Why not?"
