The Colbert Report officially has a successor, The Minority Report (presumably pronounced with a hard "t"), hosted by Daily Show Senior Black Correspondent Larry Wilmore. Wilmore has been appearing on Jon Stewart's Comedy Central show since 2006, and now has a semi-regular segment where he talks mostly about issues related to minorities.

Wilmore is a comedy writer as well as actor, and his résumé includes The Bernie Mac Show, The Office, In Living Color, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and The Jamie Foxx Show. The Minority Report will "provide an opportunity for the underrepresented voices out there," Comedy Central's Michele Ganeless tells The New York Times' Bill Carter, who first reported the news. Wilmore is expected to lead a scripted comedy panel that will provide an "underrepresented" take on current events. Stewart reportedly handpicked Wilmore as Stephen Colbert's replacement.
