The Tea Party movement turns five years old today, and its supporters are celebrating by repealing ObamaCare and slashing government spending with a rally in Washington, D.C. Though a vocal cadre of Tea Party-aligned lawmakers have caused all sorts of headaches for the GOP establishment of late, the movement's size, influence, and vitriol have all waned significantly since 2009. The congressional Tea Party Caucus quietly died last year, then relaunched in a much-diminished form. And in December, the Tea Party's popularity dipped to an all-time low, with a majority of Americans for the first time saying they had an unfavorable opinion of it. --Jon Terbush
