A Florida gun range allows customers to shoot at other people — and more in our collection of strange revelations about the nation
Combat City, a gun range in Olando, Fla., is allowing customers to shoot at people — yes, real people — instead of the usual paper targets. Of course, there's a catch: All guns must be checked by security and be modified to shoot either rubber bullets or dead lead, and everyone must wear protective gear. Shooting real guns at real people who can shoot back is meant to teach you how to react in dangerous situations, says Combat City owner Dave Kaplan. When someone's trying to hurt you, he says, "you learn how to be as tactical as a civilian can be."
