Mariah Carey is headed to Vegas for her first residency
Mariah Carey is joining the ranks of Elvis Presley, Wayne Newton, and Celine Dion as she starts her first Las Vegas residency in May.
The singer made her big announcement on Thursday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Carey will perform at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace starting May 6, every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday through the end of the month, and will return for another run in July. The show will feature each track from her updated hits collections #1's, including "Vision of Love," "One Sweet Day," "Fantasy," and "We Belong Together." "My songs are the soundtrack of my life," she told DeGeneres, "and I can't wait to share them with my fans on stage."
