Mitt Romney: 'Lord knows I have experience running for president'

Mitt Romney spoke on Friday night at the Republican National Convention's winter meeting, dancing around his comments to donors earlier this month in which he said he was considering another run for the presidency.

"There's some speculation that I might run for a position I've ran for before," he said on Friday. "Let me state unequivocally…that I have no intention of running for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts."

NBC News reports that Romney spent much of his speech critiquing President Barack Obama's foreign policy, saying the "Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama" efforts abroad have been "devastating." And while Ann Romney had told reporters in 2014 that when it came to politics, she and her husband were, "Done. Done. Done," Mitt suggested his wife is on board for a third presidential bid after all.

"She says, 'I know people get better with experience,'" he told the audience on Friday. "And Lord knows I have experience running for president."
