A Croatian court has issued a temporary order that Medo, a three-year-old mutt, must stop barking between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. If Medo barks during that time frame, his owner, Anton Simunovic, will have to pay a fine of $3,160.

Simunovic's neighbor has sued for more than $1,500 in damages, and the case is awaiting a final ruling in Pula. Until then, Medo now sleeps in a barn between 8:00 pm and 8:00 a.m., rather than roaming like he used to.

It's not all bad news for Medo, though: More than 42,000 people have liked a Facebook page in support of Medo, with users posting photos of their pets barking.
