59 percent of Pennsylvanians want Joe Paterno's statue returned 'to a place of prominence'

A new poll from Quinnipiac University found that 59 percent of Pennsylvania residents would support returning the Joe Paterno statue "to a place of prominence" on the Penn State campus.
The results spanned across all adults in Pennsylvania, regardless of gender or age. The poll included 1,023 Pennsylvania adults, both with and without college degrees.
"It appears time heals all wounds, and legends get a second chance," Tim Malloy, assistant director of the poll, said in a statement. "Joe Pa's tarnished image may never be totally repaired, but Pennsylvanians seem to be in a forgiving mood."
