Talk about dominating the competition. Based on current estimations, the big-screen adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey is on track for a whopping $75 million to $85 million dollar weekend, smashing the record previously set by Valentine's Day in 2010. The Hollywood Reporter adds that the film is on track to gross another $75 million internationally.

Though Fifty Shades of Grey is poised for mammoth success, one record might be out of reach: the highest-grossing R-rated move of all time. That record was set by 2004's The Passion of the Christ, and no film has gotten close to topping it.
