If anyone thought Sarah Palin was running for president in 2016, her brief appearance on Sunday's star-packed Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary party should put those hopes (or fears) to rest.

During an audience Q&A led by Jerry Seinfeld, the former Alaska governor stood and asked, "How much do you think Lorne Michaels would pay me if I were to run in 2016?" Seinfeld said she could probably write her own check, but Palin wasn't done. "Hypothetically, then, what if I were to choose Donald Trump as my running mate?" Jerry's response: "Sarah, you're teasing us — that's not nice." Points to everyone for self-deprecation. Palin's cameo is near the end of the skit, but there's good stuff throughout, so don't skip ahead. —Peter Weber
