Parks and Recreation writer and producer Harris Wittels was found dead in his Los Angeles home Thursday. He was 30.

Police told CBS News it is being investigated as a possible drug overdose. Wittels had been open about previous drug use and two stints in rehab, NBC News reports, and discussed his issues during a November appearance on the podcast "You Made It Weird."

Wittels wrote for The Sarah Silverman Program and Eastbound and Down, and appeared on Parks and Recreation several times as a former employee of the Pawnee Animal Control Department. He also coined the term "humblebrag," referring to people who attempt to sound modest while still boasting, and ran the @humblebrag Twitter account that later inspired a book.
