Mountain climbers in Mexico discover a pair of corpses frozen in a glacier

Earlier this week, mountain climbers ascending Mexico's Pico de Orizaba got an unpleasant surprise, when they came across a pair of frozen corpses peeking out of the snow.

Bad weather forced officials to abandon an initial attempt to free the mummies from the ice, The Weather Network reports, but authorities said crews would try again. The corpses have likely been on the mountain for decades, officials said; a 1959 avalanche swept three climbers away, whose bodies were never found. Authorities thus think there may be a third corpse somewhere on Pico de Orizaba.
