Sam Bee says goodbye to The Daily Show

Thursday was Samantha Bee's last day at The Daily Show, and Jon Stewart sent her off with a touching look back at her 12 years on the program. The first highlight reel shows some of Bee's funniest moments as "the longest-serving member of The Greatest F#@king News Team," and its most senior correspondent. "But while she could always do the silly, the Sam pieces that I love the best were the ones that were closest to her heart," Stewart said, introducing the second highlight reel. Bee herself came out at the end, tearing up and not looking much like she wanted to talk. (Well, imagine your last day at a beloved job broadcast on national TV?) Bee isn't leaving TV, just moving to TBS and her own topical news show. So, farewell but not goodbye? —Peter Weber
