Legendary blues artist B.B. King died at 89 on Thursday, inspiring an outpouring of heartfelt memorials and tributes.

If you plan to spend the day listening to highlights from B.B. King's decades of legendary performances, here's one you shouldn't miss. On Thanksgiving Day, 1972, he delivered a stunning performance for the inmates at Sing Sing prison:

"I was told that some of you dudes don't know anything about blues," King said as he began his performance. "That's what they told me. So I wanna say this to you: I came to swap some with you. I imagine that quite a few of you dudes have the blues already."
