10-year-old dies after losing consciousness on Six Flags ride

A 10-year-old girl who passed out Friday while riding a roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, died Saturday.
The girl, identified by ABC Los Angeles as Jasmine Martinez, lost consciousness while riding Revolution, a coaster that reaches speeds up to 55 mph and features a 90-foot tall vertical loop. She was said to be breathing but unconscious when she was airlifted to an area hospital, and an autopsy will determine her cause of death.
Magic Mountain says that Revolution has been temporarily closed, pending a review, and there is no evidence to suggest the collapse had anything to do with the ride. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Jasmine's family and friends during this difficult time," the theme park said in a statement.
