Emma Stone turned down the chance to be a Ghostbuster

Who you gonna call? Not Emma Stone, apparently. In a recent profile in The Wall Street Journal, Emma Stone confirmed the longstanding rumor that she had been offered a starring role in Paul Feig's upcoming Ghostbusters movie — a role that she ultimately decided to turn down.
"The script was really funny," said Stone. "It just didn't feel like the right time for me. A franchise is a big commitment — it's a whole thing. I think maybe I need a minute before I dive back into that water." (Given the total collapse of the Amazing Spider-Man franchise, it's kind of hard to blame her.)
But don't worry — despite Stone's refusal to save us from New York City's ongoing ghost infestation, the Ghostbusters franchise is in safe hands. Feig ultimately found four different actresses to strap on proton packs: Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon.
