The White House made Obama's family life more 'normal'

President Barack Obama wrote an essay on fatherhood for the June edition of women's magazine More, because, well, when your wife guest-edits a magazine issue, you better contribute.

It's hard to imagine living in the White House normalizing a family's interactions, but Obama wrote:

People often ask me whether being President has made it more difficult to spend time with Michelle and our girls. But the surprising truth is that being in the White House has made our family life more "normal" than it’s ever been. [More]

In a smart move, he also called himself fortunate to be surrounded by women.
