President Obama to meet with Raúl Castro

President Obama and Cuban President Raúl Castro will hold a formal meeting Tuesday during the United Nations General Assembly in New York City, the White House announced.
It'll be the second meeting between the two leaders since the U.S. and Cuba restored diplomatic ties in 2014, The Associated Press reports.
Obama and Castro also had a phone call in September, prior to Pope Francis' visit to the two countries. The pope has urged both leaders to continue improving relations as an example to the rest of the world.

The president spoke with Chilean President Michelle Bachelet aboard Air Force One on Sunday. He also has meetings scheduled with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday and Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev on Tuesday.
