Here's one reason Trump would bow out of the race
Donald Trump is a man who likes to win. As things now stand in the Republican presidential race, as he gladly pointed out in an interview with CNBC's John Hardwood, he is "leading every poll, in most cases big." However, in some polls, Trump's once "yuge" lead has started to wane.
If that lead diminishes and his poll numbers start to "tank," Trump says that will be his sign to exit the political realm. "I'm not a masochist," Trump said in the interview. "If I was like some of those people at 1 or 2 percent, there's no reason to move forward... If I tank, sure, I go back to the business. Why wouldn't I?"
But, in true Trump fashion, he's confident that won't happen. When Harwood pointed out his often vague responses to policy questions — "'I'm Trump, I'm good, I'm the best, I will get it done'" — Trump patted himself on the back for an answer well given. "Well," Trump said, "there's a little truth to that. Actually, a lot of truth."

Harwood countered: "You've been very successful, but we don't have Superman presidents." Trump's response? "But we will if you have Trump — you watch."
