Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) doesn't appear to be nearly as curmudgeonly or socially inappropriate as Larry David, the star of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm and co-creator of Seinfeld. But both Sanders and David are Brooklyn-raised, slightly disheveled-looking post-middle-aged Jewish gentlemen, and if you add the right music and squint a bit, you can definitely see Sanders as the Larry David of the 2016 presidential election. That's the premise that Dominick Nero started with, and his "Bern Your Enthusiasm" recap of Tuesday night's debate, if nothing else, shows how a little editing and soundtracking can affect your perception of reality. In any case, let's hope this imaginative sort of pop culture-presidential wannabe mashup takes off — it's a long time until November 2016. Peter Weber
