Vice Media's edgy, counterculture, take-no-prisoners reporting has made the millennial-friendly brand one of the most valuable media corporations in the world. And now, Vice has sealed a 24-hour cable channel deal with A&E. Viceland, as the new channel will be called, will take over A&E's H2 channel in February, with Spike Jonze as creative director.
The folks at A&E are hardly the only ones rooting for Vice. Disney also recently invested $200 million in Vice, and 20th Century Fox has likewise put many millions into the company.
