A pot farm in a suburb of Sydney, Australia, uncovered in a police raid Thursday was almost certainly an explosion waiting to happen.
Police photos reveal an elaborate web of cables and extension cords that channeled stolen electricity from a nearby substation to the hydroponic plantation. The warehouse contained approximately $2.2 million AUD ($1.5 million U.S.) worth of cannabis.
Energy Australia was asked to cut power to the warehouse for safety reasons. Two men, aged 58 and 38, were arrested in connection to the setup. They were both charged with illegally cultivating marijuana; the older man was also charged with stealing electricity.
