Five Yemeni men were released from Guantanamo Bay over the weekend and sent to the United Arab Emirates, where they were accepted for resettlement.

The men were never charged, and were detained as enemy combatants, The Associated Press reports; each one had been held for more than 13 years. U.S. authorities released them after determining they no longer pose a threat, but because of instability in Yemen, they had to find another country to accept them. The Defense Department said in a statement Sunday that there are now 107 prisoners left at Guantanamo.
