Maya Rudolph's four children haven't seen much of her work or anything by their father, Paul Thomas Anderson, she told Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday's Kimmel Live, and when their oldest daughter asked why, Rudolph explained: "Because your mother has a filthy mouth." But for reasons Rudolph explains in the video below, they showed their children (ages 2 to 10) the beloved comedy Airplane! over the summer — multiple times, apparently, because the kids started quoting some of the lines, much to Rudolph's delight. "This is not a joke: When I was, I think, in the third grade," she told Kimmel, "I realized that I had memorized the jive scene" from the move. If you don't remember this classic bit of cinema (or have never seen it), Rudolph sets it up, then, at Kimmel's request, performs it. It might very well make you rush to see if Airplane! is streaming on Netflix. (We'll save you time: No, sadly.) Either way, you can watch Rudolph's performance below. Peter Weber
