Western officials revealed Friday that they now think that Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the ISIS operative who was allegedly the ringleader behind last month's terror attacks in Paris, may have connections to people in the U.K. The revelation further heightens the existing concern that there is "evidence of a network determined to attack in Europe," The Wall Street Journal reports.

Officials say the individuals in question in the U.K. are likely located about 120 miles northeast of London, in the Birmingham area. The Wall Street Journal reports that at least one of the people involved in the Nov. 13 Paris attacks that left 130 dead at a concert hall, restaurants, and a soccer stadium is believed to have traveled to the U.K. beforehand.
