Relive the lighter moments of 2015 with The Daily Show's tragicomic year in review

The Daily Show recaps 2015

It is now the last day of 2015, and most of the annual year-end postmortems have focused on all the terrible things that happened this year. Trevor Noah called it a "shit year" at the beginning of The Daily Show's year-in-review roundup — broadcast two weeks before the year actually drew to a close — before apparently remembering that he hosts a comedy show. In just under 12 minutes, Noah and his Daily Show correspondents touch on some of the happier news stories — "moments" might be a better word — of 2015, mixed in with caustic reminders of things we'd all rather forget. Jessica Williams tackled the viral hits, Roy Wood Jr. reminded us of the rise and fall of pharma bro Martin Shkreli, and Jordan Klepper drew the short stick with the "bad boys" of 2015. The funniest bit of retrospection, however, was from Ronny Chieng, whose look at the animal stories of 2015 focused on just one animal. Watch below — and maybe hope for a better 2016. Peter Weber
