On Wednesday, South Korea fired shots at an "unidentified flying object" seen flying over the country's heavily militarized border with North Korean, a South Korean military official tells Reuters. South Korea's Yonhap news agency identified the object as a drone and said it returned to North Korea after about 20 rounds from a machine gun. The warning shots come amid heightened tensions on the Korean peninsula after Pyongyang tested some sort of nuclear device last week. Earlier Wednesday, South Korean President Park Geun-hye (pictured) urged China, North Korea's only real ally, to help enact the strongest possible sanctions against Pyongyang as punishment for the nuclear test.
