In his last rally before Monday evening's Iowa caucuses, Donald Trump shared an entirely inaccurate view of how well armored humvees can protect soldiers from IEDs.
"The best in the world, armor-plated, top, bottom, all over. If a bomb goes off, our wounded warriors, instead of losing their legs, their arms, worse, they're okay," BuzzFeed News reports. They go for a little ride upward, and they come down."
A 2013 report on IEDs from USA Today indicates that people in armored vehicles often still suffer brain damage from the blasts.
