Glenn Beck believes 'God allowed Scalia to die at this time' in order to 'wake America up'

Thus saith Glenn Beck: On his radio program Tuesday, the conservative talk show host — assuming the voice of God — said the man upstairs used the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia over the weekend to wake up Republicans and get them motivated to elect a "true constitutionalist" as president.
Beck has endorsed Ted Cruz and is a staunch supporter of the senator from Texas, with CNN reporting that at one campaign rally, Beck said Cruz's birth was brought by "the hand of divine providence." During his show, Beck channeled the voice of God to proclaim: "I just woke the American people up. I took them out of the game show moment and woke enough of them up to say, 'Look how close your liberty is to being lost.' The Constitution is hanging by a thread. That thread has just been cut. And the only way that we survive now is if we have a true constitutionalist" as president.
On his Facebook page Wednesday, Beck said it was "outrageous" for the media to report that he declared "God killed Scalia to help Ted Cruz," and what he really said was, "Perhaps God allowed Scalia to die at this time to wake America up to how close we are to the loss of our freedom." Scalia's son Eugene said on Wednesday the family believes he died of natural causes, not as an omen to scare people into voting.
