Mitt Romney condemns Trump's KKK response as 'disgusting'

Mitt Romney slammed Donald Trump on Twitter Monday for his hesitancy to disavow former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard David Duke's support in a weekend interview on CNN's State of the Union, continuing the Republicans' Twitter feud and piling onto the criticism Trump is already facing for his tepid response to whether he would "unequivocally condemn" Duke's informal endorsement.
Romney's tweet comes just hours after Trump appeared on NBC's Today Monday morning to explain that he'd repeatedly denied knowing who Duke was because CNN had provided him with a "lousy earpiece," making it hard to hear the questions.
This marks the second time that the 2012 GOP nominee has publicly criticized the Republican frontrunner. Last week, the former Massachusetts governor called on Trump to release his tax returns and speculated that there might be a "bombshell."
