Republicans turned out in record-breaking droves to vote on Super Tuesday — there were so many, in fact, that they beat the Democrat's massive 2008 turnout:
Donald Trump has taken responsibility for the numbers, claiming that he has won over independents and Democrats.
"I think it's a harbinger of things to come," director of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at Southern Illinois University David Yepsen told The Washington Times. "All those people who line up for Donald Trump rallies and also lining up at the ballot box and the caucus site. Trump's winning and nothing succeeds like success."
