While we all know about Sen. Ted Cruz's love for The Princess Bride and cowboy boots, lesser known are his equally interesting eating habits. In the Us Weekly article, "Ted Cruz: 25 Things You Don't Know About Me," the Texas senator reveals that he really loves to eat cheese and canned soup. "When I'm away from the family, in Washington, D.C., my dinner is a can of soup," Cruz writes in fun fact No. 25. "I have dozens in the pantry."
While cheese ranks No. 1 in his favorite foods, Cruz says that he really hates avocados. And one more food-related fun fact about the Republican presidential candidate, while we're at it: He loves horrifying his vegetarian in-laws with tales about the Cuban Christmas tradition of roasting a whole pig.
In case those fun facts weren't enough, head over to Us Weekly to check out the remaining 21 facts about Cruz.
