Donald Trump said he will soon give voters some insight into the kind of judge he would nominate to fill a Supreme Court vacancy.
During the Palm Beach County Republican Party's Lincoln Day dinner Sunday night at his Mar-a-Lago club, Trump said he will release a list of five to 10 judges that he would "100 percent pick" if faced with a vacancy on the court. They will be "great conservative judges, great intellects, the people that you want," he said, adding that they are people "everybody respects, likes, and totally admires."
Trump said he's releasing the list because "some of the people that are against me say, 'We don't know if he's going to pick the right judge. Supposing he picks a liberal judge or supposing he picks a pro-choice judge.'" Trump was joined by former Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson, The Associated Press reports, and also commented on President Obama's trip to Cuba, saying he should have been insulted by Cuban President Raul Castro not meeting him at the airport. "Honestly, Obama should have turned the plane around and left," he said. "He should have said, 'Bye bye!'"
