Scott Walker endorses Ted Cruz for president

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) announced Tuesday morning that he's throwing his support behind Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in the Republican presidential race. Walker says that he thinks Cruz is the GOP candidate who has the best chance of beating Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton in the general election.
"It was an easy call for me," Walker said, noting that Cruz has a "strong record like Reagan did."
"After eight years of the failed Obama-Clinton administration, Americans are looking for real leadership and a new direction," Walker said in a statement. "Ted Cruz is a principled constitutional conservative who understands the power belongs to the states — and to the people — and not bureaucrats in Washington."
