Shaquille O'Neal and Allen Iverson lead the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame's 2016 class, Sports Illustrated reports.
O'Neal, who most notably played center for the Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, and Miami Heat, was a shoe-in as a four-time NBA champion and 14-time All-Star pick. That Iverson, a longtime Philadelphia 76ers guard and 11-time All-Star, made the cut also comes as no surprise.
The class announced Monday is rounded out by Yao Ming, at one time the tallest active NBA player; Sheryl Swoopes, the first athlete signed to the WNBA; Chicago Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf, and Michigan State Spartans head coach Tom Izzo.
