Donald Trump says he has 'no reason' to raise $1 billion for campaign

Donald Trump is suddenly shy about money, saying that he has no reason to raise $1 billion for his campaign.
Previously, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee estimated that $1 billion was the amount he needed for the general election, but in an interview with Bloomberg Politics on Wednesday, he refused to commit to raising even half that. "There's no reason to raise that," he said. "I just don't think I need nearly as much money as other people need because I get so much publicity. I get so many invitations to be on television. I get so many interviews, if I want them." It has been three weeks since Trump agreed to jointly raise money with the Republican National Committee, and he's held only two major events.
Trump revealed he has a short list of four or five potential running mates, including some former Republican candidates, plus two "respected military officials," though he's not likely to choose either one "because of the fact that I think I'm going to do very well on national security." He also wants to see former Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R) somewhere in his administration, and said "nobody cares" about his Trump University fraud cases.
