Black box recovered from EgyptAir wreckage

The cockpit voice recorder has been recovered from the newly discovered wreckage of EgyptAir Flight 804, which crashed into the Mediterranean Sea last month. Egypt reports that the black box is damaged, but that they have recovered the "memory unit, which is the most important in the recorder," The Associated Press reports.
It is unknown why the Airbus A320 crashed, although terrorism is strongly suspected, and authorities are hoping the black box will yield clues. Sixty-six people on board the plane died when it went down in route between Paris and Cairo.
