President Obama: 'The people of the UK have spoken, and we respect their decision'

President Obama issued a statement in which he reiterated the support and respect of the U.S. regarding the U.K.'s decision to 'Brexit.'

President Obama joined political opposite House Speaker Paul Ryan in saying that he respects the decision made by the people of the United Kingdom to leave the EU. "The United Kingdom and the European Union will remain indispensable partners of the United States even as they begin negotiating their ongoing relationship to ensure continued stability, security, and prosperity for Europe, Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the world," Obama said in a statement.
