Trump continues to struggle against Clinton in battleground states

Donald Trump continued his tumble in the polls following weeks of gaffes and revelations. Particularly concerning for supporters are Trump's numbers in battleground states: Monmouth University found that Hillary Clinton is polling at 48 percent in Florida, compared to Trump's mere 39 percent:
In a new NBC/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll, 69 percent of Colorado adults, 62 percent of North Carolina adults, and 66 percent of Virginia adults held an "unfavorable" opinion of Trump.
The Washington Post additionally confirmed Clinton's solid lead in Virginia, with 52 percent supporting Clinton and only 38 percent supporting Trump statewide — a spread that widened to as high as 68-23 in the Washington, D.C. suburbs. "I think [Trump's] a failure, I think he's a fraud, I think he's a con artist, I think he's insane," Walt Purnell, 71, a retired business executive from Ashburn, Virginia, told The Washington Post.
