Police reportedly took 28-year-old Ahmad Khan Rahami into custody Monday morning, just hours after identifying him as a suspect in the bombings that took place in New York and New Jersey over the weekend. Rahami, a naturalized U.S. citizen, was captured after a shootout with police in Linden, New Jersey, officials said. Two officers have been reported injured.
Rahami was identified after FBI believed him to be the man seen on surveillance footage near the locations of the Saturday bombings in New York City's Chelsea neighborhood; only one of two planted bombs detonated, injuring 29 people near West 23rd Street. Authorities believe Rahami may also be connected to a bombing that took place earlier Saturday in New Jersey's Seaside Park, on the Jersey Shore.
