The Clinton campaign considered Melinda Gates, Tim Cook, and Mike Bloomberg for VP pick

On Tuesday, WikiLeaks published another hacked email from Hillary Clinton campaign manager John Podesta. This particular communication revealed that Clinton's VP pick, Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), was one of 39 candidates the campaign considered for the big job. The conversation is dated March 17, 2016, which, Politico noted, is just after Clinton beat Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in five out of five primary races on March 15 in North Carolina, Ohio, Florida, Illinois, and Missouri.
While some of the prospects got their own buzz — like Sen. Corey Booker (D-N.J.) and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro — there are a few surprises on the list. Apple CEO Tim Cook got a mention, as did Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, and businesswoman and philanthropist Melinda Gates.
Take a look at the list, below. It appears as Podesta sent it, divided up into what he described as "food groups." You'll notice Sanders at the very bottom, seemingly in a food group all on his own. Becca Stanek
