Your salary is probably a fraction of what first-year workers earn in Silicon Valley

A first-year tech worker in Silicon Valley earns twice as much as the average American.

The average annual salary for a first-year worker at a Silicon Valley technology firm is likely more than $105,000, Bloomberg reports, plus a nearly $13,000 stock bonus and almost $26,000 cash bonus.

The national average salary is $48,098, according to the Social Security Administration.
