Cartoon President Trump insults Australia

On Wednesday night, it emerged that President Trump had insulted and harangued Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull when they spoke last Saturday. Stephen Colbert's Late Show recreated the conversation on Thursday night, and Cartoon President Trump did all the talking. Australia insists that in the real conversation, Turnbull pushed back, but in Colbert's cartoon version Trump doesn't let a word in edgewise. The first part of his lecture hews pretty closely to what we know about the phone chat, but then Cartoon Trump goes for the classics: "Your country's a giant desert full of jumping rats, and your toilets go the wrong way. Vegemite is garbage, AC/DC is overrated, that's not a knife, this is a knife." There's a surprise ending. Watch below. Peter Weber
