Report: Uber board wants Expedia's Dara Khosrowshahi to be its next CEO

The Uber board of directors voted Sunday and wants Dara Khosrowshahi, the CEO of Expedia, to be its next chief executive, Recode reported Sunday.
Khosrowshahi has not been officially offered the job yet, people with knowledge of the situation told Recode, but he is expected to accept. He was the third candidate in the running, in addition to Hewlett Packard Enterprise CEO Meg Whitman and former General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt, who withdrew his name earlier Sunday.
The company has been rocked by several scandals over the last year, including allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination, plus the resignation of former CEO and cofounder Travis Kalanick. An Uber spokesperson told Recode the board has voted on the new CEO and "will announce the decision to the employees first."
