Today's Cabinet meeting featured Ben Carson saying grace and Mike Pence praising Trump's miracles

President Trump held his final Cabinet meeting of the year Wednesday, convening his top deputies for a routine summit on the state of affairs. As happens with these sorts of events, things got a little ... adulatory.
First, Trump invited Ben Carson, the secretary of housing and urban development, to "say grace" for the table — but not before a jab at the press. In inviting the media to stay for Carson's words, Trump said reporters may "need the prayer more than I do. Maybe a good solid prayer and they'll be honest. Ben, is that possible?" Carson did not specifically pray for reporters' souls, but he did thank God for the "courageous" members of Trump's Cabinet before asking for "unity" that could "spread even beyond party lines."
Next, Vice President Mike Pence spoke, offering his signature praise for Trump's "broad shoulders" "miracle"-making and thanking the president for "seeing through the course of this year an agenda that truly is restoring this country."
