President Trump has confirmed that he will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore on June 12. Trump told reporters on Wednesday that the meeting would not be taking place in the Demilitarized Zone on the Korean Peninsula, although he had previously eyed the area for its "representative, important, and lasting" symbolism.
"We will both try to make it a very special moment for World Peace!" Trump tweeted.
On Thursday morning, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo returned from a meeting with Kim along with three freed American prisoners.
