Melania Trump won't be traveling to the G7, North Korea summits

First lady Melania Trump will not be spending her summer vacation traveling with President Trump.
Her communications director confirmed on Sunday that the first lady won't be accompanying the president to the G7 summit in Canada this week or his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore on June 12, but said she will appear Monday at an event honoring Gold Star families.
Last month, the White House announced that Melania Trump was recovering from a procedure for a benign kidney condition, and she hasn't been seen in public since mid-May. On May 30, the first lady's Twitter account, which is run by her office, tweeted that the "media is working overtime speculating where I am and what I'm doing. Rest assured, I'm here at the White House with my family, feeling great, and working hard on behalf of children and the American people!"
