Toys R Us is closing its last remaining stores this week, and Party City is planning on doing what it can to entice the chain's shoppers this holiday season.

Party City announced on Monday it will open 50 Toy City pop-up shops in September, at the same time its Halloween City pop-ups start appearing. Party City CEO James Harrison said in a statement it's a "logical extension of our brand," and the Toy City pop-ups will open where there are "attractive leasing opportunities." The Toy City pop-ups will stay open through December, and Party City will also expand the selection of toys on its website.
