The Seattle Storm swept their way to victory in the WNBA Finals on Wednesday, winning Game 3 of their best-of-five series against the Washington Mystics 98-82. The Storm never trailed in Game 3, as forward Natasha Howard poured in a career-high 29 points and grabbed 14 rebounds while Seattle's star Breanna Stewart tallied 30 points of her own en route to Finals MVP honors.

The Mystics' All-Star forward Elena Delle Donne, playing hurt after suffering a gruesome knee injury in the semifinals, led her team with 23 points and five rebounds. Washington went on a 14-3 run in the fourth quarter to try to force a Game 4, but Seattle was able to absorb the blow and seal the win. "Is Seattle going to be the next great sports dynasty?" Shea Serrano wondered at The Ringer. "And did it all officially begin Wednesday night? Because it definitely felt like it."
